Easy At-Home Underarm Brightening
While taking care of your skin on your face is essential in a daily beauty routine, there’s one area of the body that everyone might be neglecting. Armpits are usually hidden, whether under the clothes or not exposed, this area is often forgotten.
As spring is approaching, it's time to put away the winter wear and bring out the lighter clothing and bring some skin into the sunlight!
Cleanse Daily
Underarms are a folding part of the skin that is prone to being moist due to lack of airflow, which makes it an easy home to many bacteria and fungal-yeast organisms — known as microbiomes. Cleansing is an important step to reduce and control unwanted moisture and microorganisms.
Gently Shave
For sensitive skin that is prone to irritation or if you just want to avoid ingrown hairs, prepping the skin before shaving is crucial. Apply a thin layer of moisturiser on the wanted area the night before shaving will help create a protective barrier. Changing your razor at least once every one to two weeks is also recommended or switch to a Men's razor for a better shave.
Moisturise Weekly
Even though underarms are usually moist, hydration is still needed. The ideal amount of moisture it needs is quite less than what the skin on your other body parts needs. Using body oils once or twice a week have been proven helpful.
