Meet the Ingredient

Yanang (pronounced ya-nang), is a climbing vine deeply familiar in northeastern Thailand, where its dark green leaves have long been used in traditional cooking and herbal practices.

We use certified-organic yanang leaf distillate as the foundation of our Wildcrafted Botanical Plants Repair & Hydrate Mist. Together with five other wildcrafted botanicals, it creates a light, refreshing facial mist that instantly replenishes hydration, helps soothe dryness and visible redness, and leaves the skin feeling soft, calm and fresh with a healthy natural glow.

Verified by Modern Science

Yanang leaves are naturally rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, plant compounds that have shown strong antioxidant activity. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Together, these properties protect skin cells from damage that can contribute to dryness, dullness and early signs of ageing.

Did You Know?

In northeastern Thai cooking, yanang leaves are traditionally crushed or pounded with water and strained to create a naturally green liquid. This is commonly added to bamboo shoot curry, mushroom curry and soup nor mai, bringing the leaf’s distinctive character into some of Isan’s most familiar dishes.

In our skincare, we transform the leaf into a certified-organic distillate. This creates a delicate botanical water that works alongside five other Thai leaves to refresh and hydrate the complexion without the weight of a concentrated extract or oil.
