Meet the Ingredient

Eucalyptus, known in Thai as yukhaliptat (pronounced yoo-ka-lip-tat), is an evergreen tree recognised by its blue-green leaves and crisp, refreshing scent. Native to Australia but now familiar in Thailand, its aromatic leaves release their distinctive fragrance when crushed, warmed or distilled.

We use eucalyptus across several of our body and cleansing rituals. In our Cleansing Bar Soap, it brings a crisp, refreshing finish to an everyday wash, while our Uplifting Body Oil pairs it with rosemary and ginger for a fresh, aromatic massage. You’ll also find it in our All-Natural Uplifting Deodorant, where its clean scent suits quick daily refreshment, and in our Uplifting Bath Salts, where eucalyptus helps create a cooling, spa-like soak. Eucalyptus leaf is also included in our traditional Thai Herbal Compression, where warming the herbs releases its distinctive aroma as part of a deeply comforting body ritual.

Verified by Modern Science

Eucalyptus is naturally rich in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal properties, which help calm visible irritation and support skin that feels clean, fresh and comfortable.

These properties make eucalyptus especially useful in cleansing and body care rituals, while its naturally crisp aroma adds an immediate feeling of freshness to the skin and senses.

Did You Know?

Eucalyptus is native to Australia, where different species have been used by Aboriginal communities for generations in practical materials and traditional plant preparations. Its leaves are naturally filled with aromatic oil, and Eucalyptus globulus later became one of the world’s major sources of eucalyptus oil.

That strong, refreshing scent is part of what made eucalyptus so useful far beyond its place of origin. In our own rituals, we pair it with Thai herbs and oils to bring a fresh, clean character to bathing, massage, cleansing and traditional herbal compression.
