Meet the Ingredient

Chinese violet, known in Thailand as baya (บาหยา, pronounced ba-ya), is a gentle tropical botanical that feels closely connected to the landscapes we grew up around. With soft green leaves, trailing stems, it is the kind of plant that can easily be overlooked, yet it reflects the quiet richness of Thailand’s herbal tradition.

We chose Chinese violet alongside five other wildcrafted botanicals to create a light, refreshing facial mist that instantly hydrates, helps soothe dryness and visible redness, and leaves skin feeling soft, calm and comfortable. It also helps bring back a fresh, healthy glow, making it an easy everyday step whenever your skin feels dry, dull or in need of a quick refresh.

Did You Know?

Despite its English name, these flowers don't always have violet flowers. Depending on the form and growing conditions, its flowers can appear cream, pale pink or purple, often with deeper markings near the centre. The plant is also known as creeping foxglove because its stems spread readily along the ground, and its leaves are eaten as a vegetable in parts of its tropical range.

For our skincare, we transform the soft green leaves into a certified-organic botanical distillate. This creates a lightweight ingredient that works alongside five other wildcrafted botanicals in a refreshing mist for dry, sensitive or visibly stressed skin.
