Turmeric
Skincare
Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory properties helping calm down acne and redness by clearing and providing luster to the skin.1 Turmeric also contains curcumin: a compound with powerful antioxidant properties that suppresses the inflammatory response triggered by oxidative stress (cause by: stress, ageing and environmental factors).2-6
Inflammation impairs the skin's ability to heal and protect itself, so prevention is the key to healthy, glowing skin.
Hair care
The inflammation mentioned in the skincare section applies to haircare as well. Inflammation of the scalp not only contributes to hair fall, but impairs the scalp's skin renewal process.7 Turmeric's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties allows the scalp to repair and protect itself.8
Inflammation can also have microbial, pollutant, or irritant origins, and turmeric's antibacterial properties protects from this as well.8
