Long before sacha inchi became popular in modern skincare, communities in the Peruvian Amazon and Andes were already cultivating its star-shaped seeds for food and oil.
In Thailand, the seeds are roasted and eaten, while the rich oil is used for cooking. In our products, we use cold-pressed oil to deliver rich nourishment with a surprisingly light feel. Aunt Daeng’s small organic farm has traditionally pressed the seeds locally, first by hand and later with a hydraulic extractor, producing oil.
