Meet the Ingredient

Epsom salt, or magnesium sulphate, is a mineral salt recognised by its fine, clear-white crystals that dissolve easily into warm water. We choose it for bathing rituals because it creates a simple, comforting soak that helps the body feel refreshed after a long day.

We use Epsom salt in our Rosemary, Lavender & Eucalyptus Mineral Bath Salts, where it dissolves alongside aromatic herbs and oils to create a warm, relaxing bath ritual. The mineral-rich soak helps soften the feel of dry skin while turning an everyday bath into a quiet moment of rest and body care.

Verified by Modern Science

Epsom salt is made from magnesium sulphate. Research on magnesium-rich salt bathing suggests that magnesium salts can help improve skin hydration, reduce roughness and support the skin’s natural protective barrier, particularly for dry skin.

Did You Know?

Epsom salt takes its name from the town of Epsom in Surrey, England, where mineral-rich spring water became famous in the 1600s. Visitors travelled there to “take the waters”, and the magnesium sulphate found in the springs eventually became known as Epsom salt.

Centuries later, Epsom salt remains closely associated with bathing and self-care. That long tradition of mineral bathing is why it fits so naturally alongside the herbs and aromatic oils in our own Thai-inspired bath ritual.
