Meet the Ingredient

Ginger, known in Thailand as khing (pronounced khi-ng), is one of the warming botanicals woven through Thai cooking, herbal traditions and everyday care. Beneath its pale golden skin is an intensely fragrant rhizome valued for its naturally soothing and protective qualities.

We use ginger across several of our face and body rituals. In our Nourishing Facial Oil, it joins sacha inchi and turmeric to help keep skin soft, smooth and glowing. You’ll also find it in our Uplifting Body Oil for a fresh, aromatic massage, and in our Herbal Warmth Body Oil, where ginger, black pepper and turmeric create a deeply comforting warming ritual. Ginger also plays a natural role in our Traditional Herbal Compress, bringing its familiar warmth into a practice rooted in generations of Thai care.

Verified by Modern Science

Ginger is naturally rich in gingerols and shogaols, protective plant compounds which contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity.

These qualities make ginger especially suited to skincare, where its naturally warming character brings a sense of comfort, vitality and renewed energy to the skin.
