Sawasdee ka!  We are SUDTANA. Inspired by generations of Thai herbal traditions and refined through MIT-backed scientific research, we create all-natural, sustainably sourced, high-performance hair, skin, and body care designed to restore long-term scalp and skin balance by addressing concerns at their roots.

For years, our founder observed personal care products that strip the scalp dry and claim to offer surface-level fixes. Products promised instant results at the cost of disrupting the body’s natural balance. She believed there had to be another way, one that’s rooted in restoration rather than reaction.

Our Beginnings

SUDTANA was founded in 2019 by Manusanun “Mew” Leelahongjudha, a Thai entrepreneur and MIT alumna.

These humble beginnings traces back to Mew’s grandfather, a respected village herbalist. His herbal remedies were a core part of Mew’s childhood and his passion for natural ingredients. One of his core beliefs that was passed onto Mew is a root-cause approach: that in order to achieve balance, one must address the symptoms at the root rather than at the surface. This philosophy continues to shape SUDTANA’s root-cause approach to scalp and skin health.

Building on this heritage, Mew studied how traditional Thai botanicals could be refined through modern scientific research. Today, SUDTANA creates all-natural haircare and skincare formulations designed to support long-term scalp balance and strengthen the skin barrier. This integration of tradition and science became the foundation of SUDTANA’s development process.
