Meet the Ingredient

Aloe vera, known in Thailand as wan hang chorakhe (pronounced wahn hahng jaw-ra-kay), is instantly recognisable by its thick green leaves filled with clear, cooling gel. In Thailand, it has long been a familiar household plant for soothing skin that feels hot, dry or uncomfortable, making it a natural fit for gentle everyday care.

We use aloe across several of our face and body rituals for its light, refreshing hydration. You’ll find it in our award-winning Wildcrafted Botanical Mist, Antioxidant Cleanser, Kindness Body Wash and Body Recovery Oil, where it helps replenish moisture, calm visible redness and leave the skin feeling soft, cool and comfortable without a heavy or greasy finish.

Verified by Modern Science

Aloe vera gel is naturally rich in moisture-binding polysaccharides that help the skin attract and hold onto water. This allows aloe vera to improve hydration and soften dry, flaky skin and sensitive skin conditions such as eczema, making it especially useful for skin that feels tight or dehydrated.

Aloe vera's anti-inflammatory properties reduce visible redness and support the skin’s natural recovery process. These findings display why aloe is so well suited to gentle care for dry, sensitive or inflamed skin.

Did You Know?

The Thai name wan hang chorakhe roughly means “crocodile tail”, inspired by aloe’s long, pointed leaves and their small tooth-like edges. For generations, the clear gel inside the leaf has been used in Thai households as a simple, cooling treatment for skin that feels hot or irritated.

That familiar soothing quality is exactly why aloe continues to have a place in our formulas today. We use it in lightweight face and body care designed to bring moisture and comfort back to skin whenever it feels dry, warm or sensitive.
